MRARC 2014 ARDF – Sept 27th

Our dear amateur radio fellows and friends,

As you know for years now BCRadioSport in cooperation with other clubs and their members have been working on populating the amateur radio movement through ARDF, or how we call it "fox-hunt" (some may call it radio orienteering and some "bunny hunt").

This year we have concentrated our efforts on improving 80m gear base and work on very interesting projects, led by Les Tocko (VA7OM), like 80m competition fox, 80m micro-fox and 80m receivers. Results are fantastic and we received good coments not only from local amateurs/hunters but also from Victoria Friendship Radio Society who run ARDF events reguraly on Vancouver Island.

As result of our work this Septembar 27th we will be running Maple Ridge ARDF event with both 2m and 80m hunts in the agenda. It will be great to see all gear we use at the same day.

More important you will be able to try and hunt hidden transmitters with that gear.

for this event and please distribute it to your club members via email or other forms of communication you use in your club (e.g. weekly nets).

Feel free to invite friends and/or families - to operate a receiver one doesn't need a license.

Location, Rolley Lake is great spot to spend time and we are already looking forward seeing you there.

Please ask everyone to RSVP to Les ( or myself Amel (

Many 73's
