Greetings to all in the Vancouver and surrounding areas.

We would like to initiate 2 and 6 meter nets beginning on or about February 18th.

The idea is to promote 2 meter SSB as well as 6 meter SSB, FM and possible AM contacts for those persons seeking to do so.

Large antennas and high power are not required, the idea is to make contacts and promote the use of these bands and to have fun with amateur radio.

Discussions and round tables may be about but not limited to, antennas, your time in the hobby, trade gear, ideas to promote these bands, other interests and a keen interest in just rag chewing and meeting others.

Weekly schedules are planned with a 2 meter ssb net starting Tuesdays at 8pm and a 6 meter net on Wednesdays at 8pm. These times are flexible so your input is desired.

We would also like to promote nets on Sundays if time permits.

The frequencies for the net are:

• 2 meters 144.200 USB
• 6 meters 50.125 USB, 50.400 AM, 52.525 FM
