Mission Statement

The Mission of the Burnaby Amateur Radio Club (BARC) is to use our network of technical resources for recruiting, training and assisting Amateur Radio Operators as well as supporting the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) by providing equipment and skilled operators for emergency communications services when called upon.

President’s Message

The Burnaby Amateur Radio Club is dedicated to providing community service and to increasing the awareness of Amateur Radio among the general public by providing education about the history, operation, functions and benefits of the Amateur Radio Service.

We Support The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Service BC by supplying communication or other needs if called upon.

Important Message To All Members

You should receive by email proposed changes to the club’s bylaws by the first week of February. We will be holding a Special Meeting at our Saturday morning coffee on March 2nd to vote on those changes. The address is 6125 Nelson Ave, Burnaby. We hope to see you there.

Repeaters

The club’s repeater VE7RBY is located on Seymour mountain.

The VHF repeater is on 145.350 MHz with an offset of -600 kHz

The UHF repeater is on 442.850 MHz with an offset of +5 MHz

Both of our repeaters use a tone of 127.3 Hz.

Our repeaters are not currently linked together at this time.
